Brandy Sears almost went into nursing because she had a strong passion for helping people. Instead, she has ventured into health and fitness, another passion that also allows her to make a daily difference in the lives of others.
“I have been a certified personal trainer for six years and have always been driven in terms of health and fitness,” Brandi said. “I love helping others achieve their goals and helping change the way they think.”
Helping older individuals is a special bonus for Brandy.
“I enjoy building relationships with all of my clients while helping them build confidence in themselves,” she said. “Reviews from my clients confirm their appreciation for my method of training as well as my communication skills. My clients complement my method of training as well as my communication skills, which are very important in this position.”
Especially when she trains with her senior clients, Brandi says, “It’s important to make it a priority in reminding older clients that it’s not about what they can’t do, instead, about finding what they can do.
“A client may come into the studio first-hand, feeling uncertain about his fitness capabilities, but it will always leave him feeling safe and confident in what he has accomplished,” she added.
Brandy starts new clients with a basic assessment. Adjustments are then made to tailor individual exercises to meet their needs.
“Classes start with the basics and then we move on from there,” Brandi said.
There is a maximum of three people in a group, allowing each customer individual time to meet their needs. A small group naturally creates a fun atmosphere for everyone. Regardless of each person’s previous fitness experience, brandy can help them reach their short term and long term goals.
The graduate program focuses on flexibility, mobility, and job training.
“Some coaches have very specific styles,” Brandy said. “Of all the different training methods, these classes focus on functional training. We don’t have the same workout twice, and we always focus on the whole body. It’s not about how much weight you can push or move, it’s about how effective your body can move.”
“She’s fun, positive, creative, and optimistic,” she said. “We work hard but we can also have a good time.”
