SBI Card launches fitness & wellness-focused credit card ‘SBI Card PULSE’

SBI Card, India’s largest credit card issuer, announced the launch of its first-of-its-kind credit card focused on fitness and health – ‘SBI Card PULSE’, on Tuesday.

Aimed at customers across the country, the card has been carefully designed with unique features and benefits to complement the cardholders’ proactive approach to health and wellness. Furthermore, SBI Card PULSE is the only credit card across the industry that offers customers a Noise ColorFit Pulse smartwatch worth Rs 4,999 as a welcome gift when paying the joining fee.

The launch of the SBI Card PULSE credit card coincides with the growing need for Indian consumers to stay fit and healthy. With the development of lifestyle, advancement in technology, global exposure and increase in disposable income, the awareness for achieving good health and well-being has become very high in the psyche of consumers.

This is reflected in their daily lives as well, be it food, fashion, leisure activities or other aspects of lifestyle. Interestingly, this increased drive to stay fit cuts across age, geography and income segments. Amid this, SBI Card PULSE aims to provide customers with a unique value proposition that not only meets their health and wellness spending needs, but also provides personalized benefits to support their fitness aspirations.

As a welcome feature, SBI PULSE Card customers receive a Noise ColorFit Pulse smartwatch. This smart watch offers amazing built-in features, including 1.4 inch full color screen, blood oxygen monitoring (SPO2), sleep monitoring etc., which will further help customers’ journey towards a fitter life.

With a free 1-year Fitpass Pro membership, SBI Card PULSE customers have access to a curated network of 4,000 gyms and fitness studios across India and can also take advantage of unlimited online fitness sessions from workouts including yoga, dance, cardio, and Pilates. The card also offers a free one-year Netmeds First membership that provides exclusive benefits to cardholders including one year unlimited online doctor consultation, annual basic medical check-up, an additional 5% discount on pathology lab tests, and unlimited free priority delivery. FITPASS and Netmeds memberships are activated upon completion of the first retail transaction on the card and payment of the annual fee each year.

Aimed at the affluent customer segment, the contactless card comes with an annual membership fee of just Rs 1,499 and has been launched on the Visa Signature platform. Waiver of renewal fee is applicable on achieving an annual spend of Rs.2 lakh during the year of membership of the card.

Customers can take advantage of 5x reward points at pharmacies, drugstores, restaurants and movies. Furthermore, cardholders also receive a Netmeds e-voucher worth Rs 1,500 upon achieving an annual spend of Rs 4,000 during the year of card membership.
