Jon Jones has found a new gym after getting kicked out

Jon Jones has been in a very difficult state for the past two months. The former UFC champ was arrested for domestic violence and subsequently expelled from a gym in New Mexico.

His coach, striker Mike Winkelgon, continued MMA watch to explain the decision. He felt he was the best for the gym and for the heavyweight in the UFC.

“I just spoke to him,” Mike Winklegon said. I said, ‘John, here’s the deal, man. You are like my little brother. You have to stop drinking and fix these things for a certain period of time until you get back to the gym. Right now, he’s out of the gym. He’s not allowed in the gym because I feel like I had to. Ignoring it and expecting different results is insanity.”

Jon Jones was forced out of his garage, something UFC champions don’t normally do. Now it looks like he’s found a new gym, and it’s linked to his former coach, Greg Jackson.

“I want to sincerely thank gym owner/coach Nick Urso and everyone on Jackson’s original MMA program for letting me connect to my new base dojo,” Jones wrote on social media. “I was so proud to see the state of the gym, it was so well taken care of and I felt amazing energy just like before. She has great memories of my time learning from GSP, Sugar Evans, Dean the mean and so much more. I won my first world title from This gym. I’m grateful to have such a cozy place for both my local teammates and my fellow trainers to enjoy. The best is yet to come!”

Jon Jones is now training with former 2nd Division Champion Henry Cejudo at Fight Ready. The UFC is still waiting to learn more about his condition before deciding what to do with him.
